I putthe interest of the children and my happiness first.I knew that the sky is the limit for people who have big dreams andwho are willing to work hard to achieve their dream in the USA.I also believed that people who are educated are open-minded andtolerant to diversity and different cultures. I brought the father of mychildren because I needed a trustable and believable friend and partner inthis country, where people like their comfort zone and where the culture isdifferent from the one in my native country. In my country, someone canvisit friends and family members without appointment. I never lived for along time with the evil in Cameroon; I knew him well in the USA when Ilived with him in the same house. Without my familys help (mother, father,grandmother, sister, and children), I would not have been alive today.This relationship was deteriorating because of many factors, likeeducational difference, the incompatibility in the vision of acceptable socialvalues and norms, his lack of respect to me and my parents, his dishonestand very controlling behavior.In the next line, I would describe my life with the evil and how Iescaped from him.
